The BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2023 is a highly anticipated Battlegrounds Mobile India tournament that is set to take place from August 2 to 27, 2023. The tournament will feature a total of 24 teams, with 14 teams being directly invited and the remaining 10 spots being earned through the Open Qualifiers. The prize pool for the BGMS 2023 is a whopping ₹2,10,00,000 (over $250,000), making it the biggest BGMI competition ever.
The format for the BGMS 2023 will be a mix of both online and offline matches. The first phase of the tournament will be an online league stage, where the teams will be divided into two groups of 12. Each team will play a total of 24 matches, with the top 6 teams from each group advancing to the offline finals. The offline finals will be a LAN event, which will be held in Delhi, India. The teams will play a total of 16 matches in the offline finals, with the top 4 teams winning a share of the prize pool.
The defending champions of the BGMS are Global Esports, who won the inaugural season of the tournament in 2022. Some of the other top teams to watch out for in the BGMS 2023 include Godlike Esports, Orangutan, and Team XO.
